The first 3 volumes of this series brought out in 1994, 1995, 1999-2000, under the editorship of Prof. J.S. Pasricha have been well received by medical community, especially Dermatologists in the country. The editorial team has again done a very good job in this 2000-2001 series which is an essential book to be read by post-graduates in Dermato-Venereology. Most of the important National and International journals have been reviewed and a wide range of dermatology related subjects have been selected.
The topics selected range from research-oriented academic subjects to common and not-so-common treatment modalities.
Editorial comments are given at the bottom end of many articles. Although references have been given in many places one feels that it could have been more exhaustive and thus more useful in research work.
Prof. JS Pasricha and the editorial team have to be congratulated for bringing out such a book especially because it is first of its kind in the Indian context. The real value of this book in the academic sense is much more than the marked price, namely, Rs 250/- for IADVL members. The Delhi Branch of IADVL and the editorial team need to be specially commended in this regard.
