Abstract
Eight cases of cutaneous myiasis, involving scalp, axila, calf muscle and foot were seen over a period of five years in the department of Medical Entomology, Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine. The offending agents were the were of Chrysomya Bezzianna Villeneuve, the old-world screw-worm fly. The environment, age and sex distribution, number of larvae obtained from the lesions etc. were studied. The line of treatment is given. The significance of this cu s infestation by the Calliphorid fly is discussed.Fulltext Views
