Abstract
Griseofulvin-FP in the dosage of 500 mg daily was administered in 47 patients of lichen planus. The duration of therapy varied from 3 to 7 weeks. The results were evaluated by subsidence of itching and flattening of the lesions. The therapy was very effective, but the regressions of symptoms and signs were directly proportional to the duration of therapy. The most favourable results were obtained with therapy extended for 6 weeks and above. The possible mechanism of action of the drug in lichen planus is outlined.Fulltext Views
