Abstract
Eight cases of macular amyloidosis are reported. They presented with hyperpigmented lesions, most commonly in the scapular region, with a characteristic rippling pattern. Histopathology showed amyloid deposits with characteristic staining, in the upper dermis. The possibility that the amyloid is produced by fibroblasts is discussed.Fulltext Views
