AbstractPrevalence of syphilis in 5894 cases was estimated by VDRL and Kahn Tests. Only those cases were taken as positive which gave scropositive results on both these tests. Overall 3.95 % seropositiviiy was found with a distribution of 4.7% in males and 2.6 in females. Seropositivity in general OPD (2.5%) blood donors (10.6%), antenatal clinic couples (3%), industrial workers (3%) and pregnant women (3.7%) was observed.
