The article titled “Unusual cutaneous manifestations of dracunculiasis: Two rare case reports”1, published on pages 237-40, issue 2, volume 89 of the Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprology (IJDVL), has been retracted by the Editorial Board of the journal based on a letter received from the Director of the National Centre of Disease Control, New Delhi, India where the centre has objected to the identification of the guinea worm by the authors due to insufficient evidence (lack of morphological and molecular confirmation). The authors have agreed to the objection and the article’s withdrawal. This article is therefore retracted.
