A 48-year-old male came to the dermatology clinic with multiple discrete, well-defined skin coloured papules and nodules clustered over the nasolabial fold, nose, upper lip, eyebrows and forehead for the past ten years. A single, large, firm nodule of size 6 × 4 cm was seen emerging amongst the smaller papules over the forehead [Figure 1]. Buttonhole sign elicited on the giant and smaller lesions was negative. No dimpling was seen on the lesions. There were no café au lait macules seen.
- Multiple discrete, well defined skin coloured papules and nodules clustered over the nasolabial fold, nose, upper lip, eyebrows and forehead along with a single, large, firm nodule of size 6 × 4 cm seen emerging amongst the smaller lesions on the forehead
Histopathological examination of the giant nodule and one of the papules revealed nest of peripheral palisading basaloid cells with focal hyaline matrix and horn cyst suggestive of trichoepithelioma.This case is reported as multiple trichoepitheliomas co-existing with a giant solitary trichoepithelioma is a rare presentation.
