Abstract
Two hundred and eithteen instances of drug eruptions were observed in 210 patients, during a period of 5,1/2 years. The incidence was 1.2% of all new dermatology cases and the male-female ratio was 1.5 : 1. The mean age of patients in this series was- observed to be 33.8 years. Exanthematous eruptions were most frequent (27.5%), followed closely by flxed drug eruptions (26.6%) Urticaria was third in frequency, but the incidence was considerably less (9.6%). The serious eruptions of Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis together constituted 7.8%. Eruptions due to antituberculous drugs accounted for 15.6% of the total.
