Abstract

Anaphylactic reaction (type I hypersensitivity) following Mantoux test with purified protein derivative was observed in a 17 year old girl, who had no evidence tuberculosis in her. Repeated injections of the test antigen produced more and more severe hypersensitivity reactions.
