Autobiography of a Scabies Mite

Burrowed in stratum corneum I live,
Intense itch is what I give.
Legs are eight in my body,
Egg, larva and nymph are my stages, buddy!
Around three eggs per day I lay,
which come alive on the tenth day.
Night takes me to cloud nine,
Wrists, axilla, scrotum and umbilicus are all mine.
For a month I live,
Pseudolymphomatous scrotal nodules I give!
Sebum is what I hate,
Dirt and filth keeps me great!
I spread fast in families,
Permethrin, lindane and ivermectin are my enemies.
Repeat application a week later kills my babies,
Gents I love, more than ladies!
Goodbye to you, O gentle listener!
My name is Sarcoptes scabiei, a lifelong breeder!
