Abstract
The vascular spiders described by medical text books as very common finding in cirrhosis of liver are rarely seen in Indian patients. Our study on 300 cases of alcoholic cirrhosis of liver revealed the presence of spider nevi in 2% of patients as compared with the figures given by the western text books which vary from 60 to 80%. They should not be given the importance as physical sign in Indian cirrhotics.Fulltext Views
