Abstract
This study on 200 patients suffering from venereal and 200 matched controls was conducted in the outpatients clinic of Safdarjung Hospital and AIIMS hospital, New Delhi in the year 1971 with an objecvvd to study the iation of venereal with of alcohol. It had been found that the number of person taking alcohol in the study group were three times more than the control group. When age factor was considered it was found that significant greater number of alcohol users were present at all ages amongst the study group. It furthermore revealed dim ftnuency of intake of alcohol did not affect mte of incidence of VD It was thus concluded that venereal disease is indirectly associated with the people who drink and occasional bout of drinking may lead to venereal disease.Fulltext Views
