There is not much for me to say at this early stage of my editorship. But there is a lot to do.

In the last few months, I have been struck by the enormity of the task of editing the Journal and maintaining the high standard and pre-eminent position it has reached. The journey up to this point is described by Dr. Thappa above.

We are currently building our team and planning the road ahead. We thank those members of the editorial team who are staying on and welcome colleagues new to the group. We have space for more. If you would like to be a part of this effort as a contributor, reviewer, editorial team member or language editor, please contact me.

Your ideas and suggestions, your feedback and criticism are welcome; they will tell us what you want, what you don′t and how we can best meet your expectations. We may not be able to act on your inputs right away but we promise to try.

We require your best wishes and, of course, your best manuscripts to keep the flag of the Journal and the IADVL flying high.
