Abstract
Efficacy of hamycin (greasy and non-greasy base) ointment in the topical treatment of dermatophytoses has been investigated. Results of the treatment with greasy base ointment were unsatisfactory since 14.7% of the cases only got cured. An increase in the concentration of antibiotic from 0.25 to 1.0% in the ointment did not show any appreciable difference in the efficacy of the drug. Treatment with non-greasy base ointment gave better results since 45.6% of the cases were completely cured.Fulltext Views
